About Course
The English Language course in Year 2 develops pupils’ ability to read, write, speak, and listen with increasing confidence and accuracy. Building on phonics and early literacy skills, pupils learn to read fluently, understand a wider range of texts, and write clear, well-structured sentences and short passages. The course strengthens grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills while fostering a love for language and storytelling.
