About Course

The Faith and Values Mentorship course in Year 3 supports pupils in developing strong moral character, spiritual awareness, and responsible decision-making. Through faith-based teachings, stories, discussions, and reflective activities, pupils explore core values and learn how these values shape their actions, relationships, and responsibilities within school, family, and the wider community.
Key Focus Areas
Exploring faith-based teachings and moral lessons in greater depth
Strengthening values such as integrity, respect, kindness, responsibility, and compassion
Making thoughtful choices and understanding consequences
Developing empathy, self-awareness, and emotional regulation
Practising gratitude, reflection, and age-appropriate prayer
Applying values to friendships, learning, leadership, and community life

Course Content

AUTUMN TERM
Focus: Building strong Christian character, understanding God’s love, making right choices, and developing good habits in school, home, and relationships.

  •  Week 5: Respect for Others
  • Week 6: Honesty
  • Week 7: Forgiveness
  • Week 8: Gratitude (Being Thankful)
  • Week 9: Self-Control
  • Week 10: Living Like Jesus

SPRING TERM
Focus: Growing in faith, developing inner character, learning responsibility, perseverance, prayer, and trusting God in daily life.

SUMMER TERM
Focus: Maturity, leadership, integrity, forgiveness, gratitude, purpose, and preparing pupils to apply faith and values independently in daily life.
