About Course
The English Language and Literacy course in Year 4 develops pupils’ ability to read, write, speak, and listen with increasing fluency, accuracy, and confidence. Pupils engage with a wider range of texts, deepen comprehension skills, and produce well-organised written work for different purposes and audiences. The course strengthens grammar, vocabulary, and spelling while encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and effective communication.
