About Course
The Web Development course in Year 8 develops pupils’ ability to design, build, and maintain functional and visually appealing websites. Pupils build on prior coding knowledge (Scratch and introductory text-based coding) to structure web pages, apply styling, and create basic interactivity using HTML, CSS, and logical scripting. The course emphasizes creativity, user experience, problem-solving, and responsible digital publishing.

Planning and designing multi-page websites
Advanced HTML: headings, paragraphs, links, images, tables, and forms
CSS styling: fonts, colors, spacing, layout, and responsiveness
Basic logic and interactivity using simple JavaScript or HTML logic concepts
