About Course
The Year 10 English Language course develops pupils’ reading, writing, and communication skills to GCSE standard. Pupils study a range of fiction, non-fiction, and media texts, learning to analyse language, structure, and authorial intent while developing clear, accurate, and persuasive written expression. The course emphasises independent thinking, textual analysis, and exam technique, preparing learners for controlled assessments and terminal examinations.
