About Course
The Handwriting and Penmanship course in Year 3 develops pupils’ ability to write fluently, neatly, and consistently. Building on earlier handwriting skills, pupils refine letter formation, joining, spacing, and alignment while increasing writing speed without sacrificing legibility. The course encourages pride in written work and supports clear communication across all areas of learning.

Consistent formation of upper- and lowercase letters
Secure use of joined or cursive handwriting (as appropriate)
